:D Hey Kevin, I use a guy in Tenn. to sharpen, set and roll my bands. When my blades come back they look like brandnew blades. He does a fine job. Over time we have figured out what works best for me over all. I am using a 7 deg. hook angle and it works great for hard & soft wood. I started using Goldline blades but over the years I have started using WM bands. So far they are the deal. I tried Cooks super sharp but they seem kinda soft. If you ever hit anything with one of them it's over for that blade. I think I want to buy a Cooks sharpener myself and put an end to the waiting for my blades to return game. Also you said we should build a kiln,..... I agree 100%. Don't know if you have met Harry yet, but he built one on a trailer. Looks GREAT!! here's a link to it: http://lumberworks.freeforums.org/the-s ... -t210.html That would be us right there. Lets try to get together soon, maybe we can help one another out in this mess we have chossen to be our hobby/job/business/living??? I have been running cranes for so long I am sick of it. I would love to be able to make a living with my mill. One more thing,... I don't go mobile anymore, it just isn't worth it to me. But,...... I do get a lot of calls from people wanting me to come to them. Do you want me to start pointing them to you?? If so I need to get all your contact info so I can do so. You really should go to the members and their services page : http://lumberworks.freeforums.org/bmemb ... -b-f4.html and post all about your operation and all your contact info.. Look at a few of the others there and build yer own.

Thanks for the "mention" WB. Couldn't be happier with the Solar Kiln. I just use it for myself though.
Just pulled out a batch of Cherry and started making Jewelry chests for the girls in the family.
The wood comes out great. It's nice to know that what comes out is insect free and furniture grade ready
at 7 - 8%. If you're not in a rush to dry, it is a very inexpensive way to go. Hope all is well with you.....

:D I agree 100% Kevin. We team up and cover each other's backside and might find a way to make a living at it. I like making the log furniture too. Sometimes, one can make a good lick with that stuff. As far as I know I'll be sawing Saturday, unless they call me in to work. I get a few calls to go mobile, but people seem to think because we're small timers, we work for food or beer or something else I have no need of.
