:D Hi Everybody, Happy New Year. I have had real sad Christmas for 2007. Christmas eve I got a phone call and my Brother-in-law passed away that morning from lung cancer. He just found out he had it about 3 months ago and now he's gone. He was a real good man. He loved his family and the outdoors. That being said, I've been thinking, when I was in the Operating Engineers Union Local #675, They had a Death Benefit Club you could choose to be a member of and I did.

How it works: If you join, anytime a member passes on, the rest of the membership would send in $10.00 each. It's not a lot, but in this situtation every dime helps. Also the more members we have, the more the spouse/benefactor of the member receives. BTW $10.00 was what we paid back then, I would rather we pay $20.00 myself. Really, I just went through this for Christmas, so I know all too well, how it goes. Every dime helps. I do think we should do this and would really like some input from members. Do you all want to start a membership for this? I would just like to be able to help someone else out when these times come, and they do come. :)
