Stack on the left is Sweetgum and Oak on the right,, Stacks are about 5' high, and 48" wide,, each stack is 800bf,,
all are end sealed,, notice the white marks on the oak,, that is to identify the quarter sawn stock.

Yes they were free,, did I mention that,,
I had to go get them,, the sweetgum I had to load with my crane on the trailer,, and the oak was loaded with a bobcat,, infact it was a big bobcat, and the guy cutting the trees down who ran the bobcat, on a couple of the big fatty's he had to get a couple of his workers to hang off the bqck of the bobcat to hold it down.

Robert i picked up 3 sweetgum logs from my neighbor and end sealed them the day they where cut. What are some of problems if any did you
have cutting your sweetgum logs. Been thinking about cutting them 5/4 size and let them air dry this winter. we have our solar kiln about done
so will dry them in it next year.

Robert, what are the uses for sweetgum? most of the time here, i wouldn't saw it if i had a truck load delivered. It rots as soon as it hits the ground. ken
