:D We've gone high tech! :o Man this new hoist is the stuff!! Hang the hook off of an old can't hook on it to roll the big logs logs with. Just go under the log with it and up on the hoist. I have a retractable extension cord that runs it. 8)

I have had a hoist for several years now, and its great,, My I-Beam runs perpindicular to the mill so I can lift and load logs on the mill and ifn I needed to roll them also.
they are a very usefull tool in the operation.

Yeah Man, I will. I worked my butt of at the mill today and all I did was push. New blades, much help 2 guys and did about 1100BF SYP. would have gotten more but we were dealing with junk logs. The new hoist,..... ROCKS!!! The thing is,... is I didn't get to use it because of the small logs I've been deal'n with. I will say I am Blessed by the BEST!! :D 8)

:D Hi all, I am well pleased with the hoist :) . It will pick a pretty good load. It lifted this log and never acted like it noticed and did it rather fast. I Like it well so far. Just like Roberts it took a little extra work to get it to hang right but it's worth it. I went from this,...

To This!! :D

Is it faster than using the cant hook or is it just easier. I know how you old guys work. :P Ive got one that hangs around, but at least he brings his tractor.

:D The answer is YES. It is faster and EZ'r especially on the big ones. You young bucks have yet to learn to work smart not hard. I have an extra can't hook, hook that I hang on the hoist to roll the big logs with. Just go under the log and hoist it against the backstops to roll them. works like a charm. I will get a video ASAP.

Here's a little video of the hoist doing it's thing. This is not a real heavy log,... I'd say 500 or 600 Lbs. but the hoist will pickup 2500lbs. I believe it will do that and more because that's rated with a 2 part hoist line. If you add another part of line you add to the cap. of the hoist. However you must keep in mind where the weakest link in the chain is. If you over load the trolley or the shackle connecting the hoist to the trolley you are in danger of something letting go and destroying everything
