Post subject:  moisture meter recommendations

I am about to start bringing in some birch that I had sawed almost two years ago. It has been air drying, stickered and covered for the whole time. I am looking for a good moisture meter. This wood will be going into furniture projects. I have narrowed my selections down to the Delmhorst J-Lite and the Lignomat Mini Ligno SD but would consider others. The Delmhorst seems to have done very well in the reviews I have read. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Good question Mart. The answer is what ever one you want. I happen to have a Lignomat mini L
It is pinless, uses a 9 volt battery and fits in my pocket. For my hobby it works great. Was about $160 five years ago.
I even take it to the lumber yard just to check out the wood I buy. If it was the pin type they'd probably throw me out for using it. Good luck in your decision and let us know what you end up with.
